Asda Environmental Strategy
Asda has been a keen protagonist in the move towards sustainability in the UK grocery market. The company has set itself a target of being the ‘greenest’ of the major UK grocery retailers, noting that a number of the initiatives that it is pursuing will help to reduce costs, therefore making commercial, as well as environmental, sense.
Asda 2010 Forecast
Asda has committed to creating 6,000 new jobs in 2010 as part of a recruitment programme to accommodate ten new store openings and ten store extensions.
