Asda has been a keen protagonist in the move towards sustainability in the UK grocery market. The company has set itself a target of being the ‘greenest’ of the major UK grocery retailers, noting that a number of the initiatives that it is pursuing will help to reduce costs, therefore making commercial, as well as environmental, sense.
