Advanced's test kit means end of compressor failure

Called CENT and developed by lubricants company FUCHS, the kit enables engineers to submit samples for spectrometry and inductively-coupled plasma analysis, among other tests, for a view of component wear, contamination levels and oil condition in any system.

The resulting report, which includes analysis of up to 30 different tell-tale variables, features user-friendly diagnostics and simple ‘traffic light’ interpretation.

Using the information, engineers are able to take preventative action before small issues develop into an expensive breakdown.

Sales Director Vern Klien, said: “Given the huge expense and hassle that a sudden compressor failure causes – not to mention lost working time, spoiled stock and other knock-on effects – performing an inexpensive system health check is a sensible cost-effective precaution.”

The CENT analysis results can be delivered digitally –either by email or secure web login – within seconds of test completion, allowing completion within a matter of days.
