Daikin distributor hits out at Mitsubishi recall

Neil Afram, boss of Daikin distributor Space Air has ignited the current debate about the Mitsubishi Electric heat pump safety recall, by alleging that the installation regime could play some part in the incident

Mr Afram, said: “It is vital to ensure (the product) is matched with the highest standards of application expertise, installation and maintenance, in an infrastructure that includes well trained and qualified installers who understand the technology involved.”

Last week Mitsubishi Electric UK issued a product safety recall after a component failure in one of its Ecodan air source heat pumps.
