HVCA appoints head of sustainability

David Frise has been appointed to the HVCA’s new senior post of head of sustainability.

Formerly managing director of the contracting business M S Frise, Mr Frise served as vice president of the association in 2007/08, and was the first chairman of M&E Sustainability, a joint venture between the HVCA and the Electrical Contractors’ Association.

Frise is a director of SummitSkills, the sector skills council for building services engineering, and has served on the CBI working group on the Carbon Reduction Commitment.

Commenting on his appointment Mr Frise stressed that he had learned at first hand the key role building services engineering could play in the creation of a sustainable built environment.

“I am delighted to have this opportunity to assist in further enhancing the skills and the competence of HVCA members in a sustainability context, and in promoting their experience in the delivery of integrated energy systems.”
