Kevin Glass has formally taken up the presidency of the Institute of Refrigeration (IOR) and set out his aims for a cooling industry that faces complex technical, policy and skills challenges resulting in part from the UK’s low carbon ambitions and a lack of certainty over the Brexit process.

The claims have been made amidst fears that the unknown scope of illegal trade for such gasses could derail any progress made by industry under the F-Gas regulation.
The IOR is seeking to more than double its existing female membership to at least 100 people over the next three months under an initiative to mark the centenary of the Women’s Engineering Society (WES).
