Roy Holden, one of the AC industry’s influencers of the 1970s and 1980s, dies

TEV has announced that its original managing director Roy Holden, passed away on 16 January after a long illness.

Roy Holden, who founded AC specialist IMI in the early 1970s has passed away. Mr Holden led the publicly-owned company which subsequently became TEV. The company credits his leadership with taking the company to the UK’s number 1 spot in the packaged air conditioning market.

The firm said: “His quirky enthusiasm was legend in the industry right up to his retirement in 1992. He will be remembered with great fondness by all who knew and worked with him. The staff and directors of TEV Ltd. send their condolences and their thoughts are with Roy’s family at this difficult time.”

Mr Holden’s funeral is being held at St Oswald’s Church, Collingham, Wetherby, West Yorkshire on Monday 9th February at 2.00 pm.

In lieu of flowers, the family has asked that donations in Roy’s memory are made to the Alzheimer’s Society.
