Aspen links up with Pro Pipe in Australia

Aspen Pumps Limited has announced investment in Pro Pipe Supplies Pty, an Australia based HVAC distributor.

In a statement, Aspen said: “Founded in 1999 by entrepreneurs Brett Spicer & Bob Babidge, Pro Pipe has grown from a niche supplier of high quality refrigeration drain pipe to a leading force in the Australian HVAC market. The investment represents a natural development in the strong historical trading relationship between Aspen and Pro Pipe which began in 2006.

Adrian Thompson, CEO of Aspen Pumps, said: “We are delighted to announce that we have formed a closer relationship with Pro Pipe, a leading HVAC distributor in Australia. This transaction represents an important step in delivering on our strategy of accelerating international growth.”

“Pro Pipe was the obvious choice for us to expand our presence in the Australasian region; we have long standing partnerships with the business and it shares Aspen’s core values of quality products, supported by excellent customer service and strong relationships. We look forward to working even closer with the team and supporting them in achieving their growth plans.”

Pro Pipe is the first investment made by Aspen since 3i invested in the company in February this year. 3i worked closely with the Aspen management team to successfully deliver the transaction, demonstrating its commitment to supporting Aspen’s global ambitions.”
