Refrigeration wholesale giant G & L Beijer claims ‘a step forward in the consolidation of the Irish market’ with purchase of £2 million turnover firm, which it will merge with Dean & Wood in Ireland
G & L Beijer said it is acquiring the £2 million turnover Irish refrigeration company and merging it with its existing Dean & Wood subsidary in Ireland, Gasco Ireland Ltd. The wholesale giant said the six-employee firm is particularly strong within refrigerants and will complement Dean & Wood in Ireland, which offers both refrigeration and air conditioning products.
Beijer said the £550,000 acquisition is ‘a step forward in the consolidation of the Irish market’ and will create a merged company with sales of approximately £4.7 million. The merger is expected to generate synergy gains through cost savings and involves an extended product programme with the opportunity to reach additional customer groups with an improved product and service offer, the firm said
