Carrier has launched a range of variable-speed, water-cooled chillers and heat pumps featuring inverter-driven screw compressors.
Called AquaForce, the range uses inverter-driven screw compressor technology, which is claimed to reduce energy consumption and sound emissions at part-load, together with stable operation at high condensing temperatures.
Annual energy consumption for buildings with a variable cooling load are said to be reduced by up to 30 per cent, compared with a chiller using a fixed-speed screw compressor system.
Aquaforce, complete with ‘Greenspeed’ technology, also features the streamlined Touch Pilot control, a new generation of Carrier product-integrated controls. The Touch Pilot offers a user-friendly full-colour touch screen interface with enhanced web capability and easy access to all unit parameters from a clear single-screen display.
