Climate Center announces major product expansion

Wholesaler underlines claim to be ‘one stop-shop’ for installers with addition of peripherals and cold rooms

Climate Center, the UK’s leading refrigeration and air conditioning distributor, is dramatically expanding its product offering to become a one-stop-shop for installers.

Following its recent launch of Carrier chillers and Kingspan cold rooms, Climate Center is introducing electrical containment, bracketry and catering spares, including door seals and other common replacement parts.

Robert Franklin, who heads up Climate Center’s refrigeration business, said: “Contractors increasingly get involved in multi-disciplinary projects that cross traditional trade boundaries. It has always happened to some extent in the catering and hospitality sector, where refrigeration and air conditioning operate alongside equipment for cooking and storing food. We believe the trend will increase in future and we want to ensure customers can source everything they need from us, so they don’t have to waste time scouting around for part.”

The new ranges include electrical containment systems and bracketry to support the trend among contractors to take on this aspect of installation work.

Other new products include a new range of fan motors and K65 copper tube and fittings, designed for use with carbon dioxide systems. There are also two new ranges of condensing units, the Optyma Plus New Generation from Danfoss, and the updated Silensys range from Tecumseh.

Alongside, the company is introducing the Copeland Stream range of semi-hermetic compressors from Emerson Climate Technologies, plus new economy flat pack housings for L’Unite condensing units and a range of Searle RF air-cooled condensers.

On the refrigerant front, Climate Center is promoting the Trace-A-Gas system from A-Gas, a non-flammable, non-toxic mixture of 5 per cent hydrogen and 95 per cent nitrogen, for pinpointing the tiniest refrigerant leaks.

Hydrogen makes an excellent leak indicator as it penetrates the smallest fractures in pipe work, joints and components due to its exceptionally small molecular size.

The company has now added its Cooling Award-winning Beermaster free-cooling cellar cooler to the catalogue, developed in collaboration with GEA Searle and Mitchells & Butlers.

Other additions include spare parts for commercial refrigerated cabinets, Kingspan refrigeration controllers, new ranges of condensate pumps from Aspen, Hi-Flow and Blue Diamond, brazing alloys, compressor lubricants, Testo test equipment, and alternative ranges of fan blades, guards and brackets.

Robert Franklin said: “Our overall aim is to help our customers succeed by delivering the best products, available from a single source and backed by outstanding technical support and customer service. We believe it adds up to an unrivalled package.”
