AC and heat pump system distribution company Cool Designs Ltd (CDL) strips to solve access problem.
CDL overcame access problems for its client Ailsen Ltd during an AC refurbishment the company stripped down 6 VRF condensing units to 18 pallets of components in two days then delivered them to site.
The contract included the supply of a Toshiba VRF system and it had been planned to crane the condensing units to the roof of the store.
At one week’s notice this proved to be impossible. Determined not to let Ailsen or its client down the components were stripped and transported by lift and stairs to the roof site that weekend by Ailsen engineers and rebuilt with one of CDL’s technical partners, Pete Franks, the following week.
“This was one of the most difficult problems we have faced,” said Darrel Birkett, managing director of Cool Designs Ltd, “but we were determined to deal with it as our philosophy is to never let our customers down.”
“The speed and reactive manner in which this was dealt with by our support network and dedication from our own staff enabled the short time scale to be achieved. It was really hard work but worthwhile to know that we had met our deadline and that our customer was able to continue this phase of his installation to the program schedule.”
