Daikin launches heat pump roadshow

Daikin UK launches ‘Renewables Road Show’ to dispel heat pump myths

Daikin UK says it aims to dispel the top five myths about air-to-water heat pumps during a series of seminars at the forthcoming Renewables Roadshow.

Daikin says its experts have identified the five most common myths about heat pumps that are out of step with the latest product innovations in the market.

They are:

·         They aren’t as efficient as they claim to be

·         They take up too much space

·         The heating capacities are oversized for new build

·         They won’t work during a big freeze

·         They are difficult to use and tricky to control

Nancy Jonsson, Product Manager, Heating and Renewables, for Daikin UK, said: “We’re focused on sharing best practice in the market, raising standards and continually innovating to deliver higher heat pump efficiencies.”

“But many specifiers are simply not aware of what can be achieved with the latest generation of heat pumps. Unfortunately, old myths based on wrongly specified heat pumps still linger on. So we’ve decided now’s the time to put the record straight.”

The team is hitting the road to deliver the Myth Busting seminars to specifiers, contractors and installers in the Installer Theatre at the Roadshow venues in Coventry, Exeter and Wembley, London.

Daikin UK will also be showcasing the latest innovations at the Renewables Roadshow, which is appearing at: Ricoh Arena in Coventry on 13 September; Westpoint Arena in Exeter on 18 September; International Centre in Harrogate on 20 September; SECC in Glasgow on 26 September; Event City in Manchester on 28 September and Wembley Stadium in London on 3 October.

Meeting the team on the Daikin UK stand will give visitors the opportunity to see the new Daikin Altherma LT split solution and existing installers can sign up for refresher training. Specifiers can also pick up the latest Altherma selection tools. New heat pump installers can find out more about Monobloc air-to-water heat pump which requires no refrigerant handling expertise and is ideal for heating engineers just getting into the renewables market.
