Danish Air Conditioning company in joint venture

Danish company AC-Sun and the Swedish-American portfolio management company Elements Global Holdings have launched Elements Thermal R&D

The new company will construct two next-generation demonstration units featuring Element´s innovative and eco-friendly building materials for collapsible housing, which will be cooled utilising AC-Sun’s proprietary air conditioning technology.

AC-Sun says it has been developing a air conditioning system that can utilise solar-heated water or waste heat over 60 deg C from any source to producing cooling at 10-15 per cent of the electrical consumption of traditional units.

The technology also utilises water as a cooling medium, therefore avoiding complications from toxic chemicals.

The company has also received over $750,000 USD in support from the Danish Energy Agency’s Program for Energy Technology Development and Demonstration to mature its technology to the proof-of-concept stage.
