Embraco has begun assembley of its thrid generation compressors at its newly opened plant in Slovakia.
The EM3 compressor is claimed to be compact and highly efficienct, as well as complying with new EU energy regulations.
Embraco’s global president, João Carlos Brega, said “This will bring more efficiency and agility to meet demand in Europe, especially in the high season”. All EM compressor demand in Europe will now be provided by Slovakia and Italy.
The investment in Eastern Europe is part of the global strategy of the company, based in Brazil and with 10,000 employees worldwide, to be closer to customers and promote a more balanced global manufacturing capability. The company is present with factories in Brazil, China, Italy, Slovakia, and by the end of the year, also in Mexico.
