Emerson Climate Technologies Europe has launched an Apple friendly version of its CoolTools app for servicing Copeland compressors and condensing units.
Designed to assist engineers, technicians, installers and end-users of refrigeration and comfort technologies easily service and diagnose Copeland compressors and Copeland EasyCool ZX condensing units, the new app in Apple’s iTunes store includes six tools from Emerson.
Quick Select tool – Quickly select from a database of all European Copeland™ brand models by using the Quick Select tool. The tool provides the performance at the rating point appropriate for that model, refrigerant and power supply.
ZX Slider tool – Condensing units from the EazyCool ZX range can be selected for cold rooms by using the ZX Slider tool. With the cold room volume the slider finds the best unit and controls to match.
FAQ tool – The FAQ tool gives immediate answers to the most common application questions relating to compressors and systems with Copeland Scroll and other Copeland brand products. Answers also can be found to questions about Alco Controls and CoreSense™ technology.
CoreSense tool – Diagnostic information from the compressor’s CoreSense module can be immediately interpreted by the CoreSense tool. This is a helpful tool for troubleshooting in the field and presents the various error signals by flash code count and LED color.
Select tool – The Select tool links to Select 8, the online version of the Copeland Selection Software. It provides the option of individual compressor or condensing unit performance at user conditions, as well as the essential features of the desktop software.
PT Slider tool – The PT Slider tool provides equivalent pressures or temperatures for eight refrigerants as defined in Select 8 in an easy-to-use slider format. Flexibility between Celsius, Fahrenheit, bar and psi enables interpretation of gauges almost anywhere and eliminates the need for a physical slider.
