ebm-papst has revealed the line-up in preparation for its facilities manager seminar on 23rd February 2012
ebm-papst has revealed the line-up of key industry spokespeople in preparation for its seminar on 23rd February 2012, which will examine how facilities managers in the UK can reduce their energy consumption by embracing the opportunities presented by retrofitting or upgrading existing equipment.
Ian Ellis, President of Building Controls Industry Association, will present advice on controlling energy in buildings, while Mike Malina, a renowned energy expert from Energy Solutions Associates, will speak about energy waste, outlining the key steps that facilities managers can take to find and stop it.
Ian and Mike will be joined by Paul Camsell of Land Securities, one of the UK’s largest real estate investment trusts. Paul will talk about ‘quick wins’, presenting information from a recent project involving Portland House, in SW1.
Finally, Richard Brown of Siemens Green Finance, will discuss green financing strategies, expanding on how facilities managers can make the business case for investment, a step which is particularly important in the current economic climate.
Helen McHugh, Head of Sustainability at ebm-papst, said: “We have secured a really strong line-up of industry spokespeople to ensure this seminar provides maximum value to attending facilities managers. Energy saving is a really important consideration of FMs and we want to arm them with as much information as possible so that they are able to make educated decisions that will not only reduce their energy consumption and improve sustainability, but also deliver long-term savings for the business.
“All facilities managers are welcome to register to attend and we look forward to welcoming them to our client centre in Chelmsford.”
