FLIR launches next-gen imaging thermometer

FLIR Systems, Inc. announces the release of its TG165 Imaging IR Thermometer tool that shows invisible heat patterns, measures temperatures accurately, and stores images and measurement data for reporting.

Built around FLIR’s Lepton micro thermal imaging camera core, the TG165 combines a single spot IR thermometer with the power of a thermal camera in a compact package anyone can use.

This combination of technologies is said to speed troubleshooting, making it easy to find invisible hot and cold spots from a safe distance so you can investigate and solve problems quickly.

Fast and easy to use, the TG165 lets you get right to work with no training required. Its dual lasers visually mark the edges of what is being measured and the cross hairs pinpoint the centre point of the measurement area.

The TG165 is claimed to withstand a two-metre drop, making it rugged enough for industrial professionals while offering the simplicity valued by do-it-yourself homeowners.

The TG165 is priced at £399 excl VAT.

  • How TG165 is compared to i7 camera http://technodepot.com/product/flir-i7-39301-0305-extech-compact-thermal-imaging-infrared-camera-120x120 - does it has couple of times lower resolution and temperature range? Where can i get more information about TG165?
