Leading ventilation manufacturer Fläkt Woods has appointed Yan Evans as its new Vice President for all UK and Ireland business with effect from 1st April 2014.
In a statement Fläkt Woods said: “Yan has worked in the UK building services industry for over 20 years and has held Director and Board level positions with major UK commercial heating brands.
Commenting on his new position, Yan said: “I’m really pleased to have joined one of the leading suppliers of ventilation equipment in the UK and Ireland, and looking forward to applying my knowledge from a range of industries to develop the Fläkt Woods business.
Of course, we’re in a very competitive sector, but all the indications so far this year show the commercial H&V industry is turning a corner.
The challenging market conditions experienced in recent years seem to be behind us, with projects, enquiries and general activity at their highest point for some time.
“The industry is also experiencing some huge changes, as legislation and regulatory drivers push manufacturers to improve energy efficiency and lower life cycle costs.

In addition to over two decades of sales and business development experience, Yan is a Chartered Engineer (CEng) and also a Member of CIBSE, the Institution of Engineering and Technology (IET) and the Energy Institute. He lives in the Midlands with his family and will have offices in Fläkt Woods’ Birmingham and Colchester facilities.”
