Acquisitive heating and cooling group Four Seasons has acquired Berkeley Controls Group for an undisclosed sum.
The deal continues the group’s diversification strategy. Berkeley is a controls specialist offering “energy reduction solutions” to clients in the UK, Europe and the Middle East from offices in High Wycombe and Leicestershire.
The purchase will add a further £4 million of turnover to make Four Seasons a £30m company. Berkeley also serves the pharmaceutical and clean room markets.
Chief executive Stuart Lawrie said: “This allows the group to expand our range of services beyond installation and maintenance and into the energy management field.
“Having building controls and automation expertise enables us to offer clients the ability to remotely change plant run times, temperature settings and link these into reducing energy consumption across their estates.”
