Company partners with Business Edge for a series of one-off training events designed to tackle safe handling of its CO2 technology
FSW has announced a series of one-day training courses for later this year focused around safely handling its new range of packaged condensing units that make use of CO2.
All F-Gas qualified technicians that hold an up to date certificate will be invited to attend one of three events taking place in Portsmouth between September and November. They will focus on how technicians should plan and install trans‐critical condensing units.
FSW said it has partnered with RAC training provider Business Edge to provide the courses with a particular focus on its Profroid QuietCOOL CO2 appliances as a time where industry is being pushed towards a new generation of alternative gasses for cooling.
Topics that will be covered over the course of the training day will include understanding the hazards of using R744 and ensuring its safe handling as a replacement for products such as R134A and R404A that are intended to be phased out as part of the EU F-Gas regulation.
Other topics will include providing a theoretical understanding of trans-critical refrigeration systems and best practice around joining and pressure testing for K65 pipe.
Training on the installation, testing and charging of the Profroid Quietcool condensing units will also be provided on the equipment itself, with a competency certificate being provided to attendees.
The one-day events, which will take place at the Business Edge Training Centre in Portsmouth and can be booked for September 27, October 25 and November 15.
