Refrigeration giant GEA Refrigeration Technologies has increased its compressor portfolio with the purchase of German firm Bock Kaltemaschinen.
The deal, for an undisclosed sum, sees GEA acquire the German family-owned firm, which has a staff of 300 and factories in the Czech Republic, India and China. Its portolio includes compressors from 5-300 cu m and customers across industrial and commercial sectors and includes CO2 units.
GEA sector president Dr Hugo Blaum said: “The future will belong to smaller, higher compression machines with natural refrigerants. The Bock expertise in the lower performance range and mass production are therefore highly welcome to us.”
