Geothermal heat pumps made easy by US Department of Energy

The US Department of Energy has released a video looking at the basics of geothermal heat pump technology.

This video may be useful to show potential customers. The official line is thus…”An energy-efficient heating and cooling alternative, the geothermal heat pump system moves heat from the ground to a building (or from a building to the ground) through a series of flexible pipe “loops” containing water.   • It's time for the industry to get serious about geothermal hvac. It's here to stay, and if we don't take it seriously, we'll be left behind. My office is overwhelmed with geothermal engineering and contracting requests, but we started on this track 18 months ago. The absolute best thing anyone can do is get educated. Start with the Geothermal HVAC Book from McGraw-Hill Professional. Google "Geothermal Book"
