  • This a great resource I had some misconception such as the invention of portable AC units by engineers after President Garfield was shot. Supposedly designed to keep him cool. Also interesting, the way Victorian architecture utilized high ceilings for ventilation. This a concept that still works according to my local HVAC company http://www.environmentmasters.com/blog/attic-heat-time-to-blow-your-top-the-ins-and-outs-of-attic-ventilation/
