Ingersoll Puts Hussmann up for sale - reports

The conglomerate is expected to sell the Hussmann division to a private equity backer and is in the midst of a private auction process, according to Reuters news agency. The refrigerated business, founded in 1906 was bought by Ingersoll for $1.55 billion in 2000. Hussmann sold its Koxka brand of cases to American Industrial Acquisition Corporation in late 2010. Sources said that the business had been hit by a combination of slower investment by retailers and high material costs.
