Integral refrigeration director to leave for Dubai job

Mike Nicholas, former WR managing director, to take up ‘opportunity he couldn’t pass up’ as director of Dubai chiller operation for Johnson Controls

Mike Nicholas, the director of refrigeration at Integral UK, is to leave the company on July 4 to become Johnson Controls’ director of chiller operations in Dubai. Mr Nicholas, former md of WR refrigeration, who joined Integral when it bought major retail contracts from the administrator of WR, told RAC that the surprise move was not motivated by anything other than being an opportunity he couldn’t pass up and that he and boss Bryan Glastonbury are parting on good terms.

He told colleagues in his announcement that the business he leaves behind is in good shape:

“I really do think that with their support and the aspirations the directors have for the Integral Refrigeration business, you are in safe hands and will have a prosperous future. Please be assured that Integral is very serious about building a ‘best in class’ refrigeration business and they consider you to be an important part of that business.”

The Integral refrigeration business will be run initially by experienced industry heads Patrick Mullins and Richard Biffin.

Mr Mullins will take the lead with the strategic direction of the business, in addition to his responsibilities with the Lokold business, while Mr Biffin will take the lead with all operational aspects of the business for Contracting and Service nationally.
