JD Cooling makes it into Top 100 Apprenticeship list

JD Cooling Systems have been included in the first ever Top 100 Apprenticeship Employers list - the only dedicated refrigeration & air conditioning company to make it in.

The list is supported by the National Apprenticeship Service (NAS) and City & Guilds - the UK’s leading vocational education organisation.

The 100 employers were recently announced at the annual National Apprenticeship Awards.

The Top 100 Apprenticeship Employers is a new initiative to recognise excellence in businesses that employ apprentices. By celebrating their outstanding achievements, NAS and City & Guilds hope to raise the profile of Apprenticeships and promote their benefits to learners and employers alike.

Speaking about achieving the Top 100 Apprenticeship Employer, John Dye from JD Cooling Systems said: “Over the last ten years we have strived to provide the best possible service to our customers, to achieve this we have developed our own apprenticeship scheme.  It is very rewarding to be identified as one of the top 100 employers within the national apprenticeship awards.”

The announcement follows on from recent award success JD Cooling Systems were put forward for the National Apprenticeship Awards 2010.  The apprenticeship scheme that JD Cooling Systems has developed incorporates both on site engineering training and formal college based learning to NVQ or degree level.  The rolling scheme ensures a constant stream of qualified engineers to match the companies growth rate.
