J&E Hall launch digital commercial condensing units

J & E Hall has launched two new energy efficient digital scroll commercial condensing units aimed at the convenience store market.

The Series 3 Fusion Digital Scroll Commercial Condensing Unit and the Series 5 Fusion Twin Scroll Commercial Condensing Unit are aimed at the convenience store market and and are said to offer greater energy efficiency by delivering variable load matching of between 10 per cent to 100 per cent.

J & E Hall Product Support Manager Andy Wells said: “Digital really does make a difference. Sixty per cent of chilled cabinets in convenience stores have doors and this means that energy use varies greatly.

To accommodate this, the new Digital Scroll Commercial Condensing Units offer accurate load matching, so there is no need for the system to be working flat out all the time. These next generation CCUs for medium temperature applications are easy to install and maintain – and are compliant with the latest EU energy saving requirements.”

The new Series 3 Fusion Digital Scroll Commercial Condensing Units have up to a 16kW capacity, an evaporation temperature range of between -20 deg C and +5 deg C and are suitable for multi-cabinet systems.

The units employ the extremely efficient Copeland digital scroll compressor. They are acoustically lined to further reduce noise, have a Carel electronic controller with LCD display and are ErP lot 11 compliant.

The new Series 5 Fusion Twin Scroll Commercial Condensing Units offer up to a 31kW capacity with an evaporation temperature range of between -20 deg C and +5 deg C. They are suitable for larger convenience stores and are an all-in-one packaged alternative to multiple compressor racks. These high efficiency digital units require a lower refrigerant charge due to the inclusion of a highly efficient microchannel condenser coil. The microchannel coils use less refrigerant and are lighter and smaller than conventional plate and tube type coils.

The new Series 5 units house twin Copeland scroll compressors, one fixed speed and the other digital. They offer accurate load matching, low noise levels and can be used with multiple display units.

The new Series 5 has an oil separator with compressor electronic oil control, a Carel electronic controller with LCD display and a manual changeover bypass function. The bypass function allows units to operate in the event of an electronic controller failure.  The units are ErP lot 11 2015 compliant.
