Ken Logan, managing director of A-Gas (UK) Limited will be relocating to US at the start of 2013 for an initial two year period to take overall responsibility for three US businesses
Ken will be responsible for co-ordinating and developing the activities of the three businesses (RemTec, Coolgas and A-Gas Performance Chemicals), and in particular to develop and implement our strategy for the North American refrigerant market combining the respective strengths of Coolgas (sales, distribution and HCFC inventories) and RemTec (reclamation and technical).
The local management teams will be unchanged under the leadership of Richard Marcus (RemTec), Jason Crawford (Coolgas) and Steve Galaton (A-Gas Performance Chemicals), all reporting direct to Ken, who will report to
Jon Masters Managing Director – Europe, Middle East, Africa & Americas.
John Ormerod, A-Gas UK’s Business Director will take over primary responsibility for the UK business, reporting to Sally Fairman and Jon Masters. John will be focussing on continuing to develop A-Gas’ UK business, particularly ISP (including welding gases) and Performance Chemicals, whilst sustaining A-Gas’ market leading positions in Refrigeration and Environmental Services.
Mike Gorham, Regional Business Development Director for A-Gaswill take over primary responsibility for growing the company’s business in Europe and the Middle East, especially Environmental Services in the EU in conjunction with Andy Cook.
Mike will also continue to assist the Western region MD’s with specific business development projects; integration of the new US businesses into the A-Gas Group; and assisting Sally Fairman with the Group SBU business development initiatives. Mike will continue to report to Jon Masters and to Sally Fairman/MD’s on specific projects.
John Billows, A-Gas’ Group Technical Director will be responsible with immediate effect for overseeing all group technical projects, including the development of recovery and reclaim facilities in UK, Australia and US. John will be based in Thailand, and will be visiting UK, Australia and US on a quarterly basis, plus other sites as required. John will report to Jon Masters on West projects and Andrew Ambrose on East projects.
