Kier awards LJJ £4.2m building services project on Farnborough Business Park

Building services specialist LJJ has been awarded a £4.2 million project to design and install a Cat A M&E installation at Plot C of Farnborough Business Park, off the M3 motorway

Commencing late 2014, the 32 week M&E programme is due for completion in Spring 2015. The speculative 108,000 sq ft office development, designed by ESA architects comprises two, four-storey office buildings.

For the buildings’ mechanical requirements, LJJ will install a VRF system for heating and cooling with eight condensers and one air handling unit on each roof. A total of 140 fan coil units inside each building are supplied with fresh air via ventilation ductwork installed within ceiling void.

Above-ground drainage such as soil and vent pipes and VRF condense lines are also being installed by LJJ.

To help achieve the development’s projected “Very Good” BREEAM score, a number of electric vehicle charging points are also being fitted into allocated parking spaces.
