Mexichem announces 10-15 per cent rise in cost of HFC refrigerants from January

Refrigerant manufacturer Mexichem Fluor announces rises across all its Klea range to fund development of HFOs

Mexichem Fluor has announced a price increase across its range of Klea refrigerants in Europe from January 1st 2016,

Prices will increase by by 15 per cent for the highest-GWP blends R404A and R507 and.10 per cent across R134a, R407A, R407C and
R410A. The rise is to allow continued investment in developing new HFO products, the company said, in addition to reflecting lower availability because of quota reduction under the EU F-Gas Regulation.

The increase follows a similar announcement last month of a 15 per cent R404A rise from Chemours.
