Consultants join line-up to discuss how industry faces 2020 bans
Consultants Nabil Cook of Wave Refrigeration and Paul Alway of AB Group are the latest panelists to sign up to RAC’s free F-Gas Question Time on October 9.
They join a high-profile line-up inluding Brian Churchyard of Asda Walmart, Graeme Fox of Refcom and refrigerant policy expert Ray Gluckman at RAC’s annual audience event, discussing the continuing implementation of the F-Gas regulations and moves to lower-GWP refrigerants. The event is moving to October for 2019, enabling us to include new industry developments,
The morning discussion event, which is free to attend, will take place in a London venue, to be announced shortly. The event ends with a complimentary buffet lunch.
As the first service bans come in on January 1 next year, the industry will face a new set of challenges with regard to compliance.
Mr Alway was formerly head of refrigeration at M&S before joining leading consultant AB Group, while Mr Cook helped Wave win RAC’s first Cooling Business of the Year Award. Both work with a range of clients in both natural refrigerants and low-GWP HFOs.
One of the key presentations will be Asda Walmart’s head of construction design standards Brian Churchyard, discussing the result of Asda’s field trials with HFOs.
Other key speakers will be Ray Gluckman, bringing his perspective on the upcoming bans, the HFC phasedown and the move to lower-GWP and head of Refcom, Graeme Fox, talking about the implementation of the regulations on the ground.
