Richard Hipkiss has been appointed as new Chairman of the Energy Services and Technology Association (ESTA).
He is director of digitalenergy Ltd which provides complete energy management services to customers. An engineer by training, he has been closely involved with ESTA for a number of years both on the Association’s Council and in representation with Government.
Mr Hipkiss said: “When everyone is looking to save money in these difficult economic times while at the same time responding to environmental concerns, energy efficiency is the perfect place to start.”
He succeeds Professor Martin Fry who will take on the newly-created post of President. During his years as Chairman, Martin has helped establish ESTA as a major force in the development of Energy Management and Energy Services in the UK.
