Paul Arrowsmith joins Sainsbury's refrigeration team

Former WR engineering director joins retailer to help with its CO2 expansion

Paul Arrowsmith, one of the industry’s champions of carbon dioxide refrigeration technology, has joined Sainsbury’s as Refrigeration Technology Specialist, to support the retailer as it continues its ambitious programme of CO2 installations.

Mr Arrowsmith contributed significantly to WR Refrigeration’s carbon dioxide technology offering, as well as spearheading the development of the WR Refrigeration Training Academy.

He now will be involved in supporting head of refrigeration John Skelton as the retailer seeks to install 80 new CO2 installations this year to meet its target of 250 CO2 stores.

Mr Arrowsmith had over 30 years’ service at the contractor, rising to engineering and compliance director, but when WR went into administration, he was one of the 232 staff made redundant.
