Norfolk business doubles manufacturing capacity; hiring factory and sales staff
British commercial refrigeration manufacturer Precision has opened a new factory alongside its original site in Thetford, Norfolk.
The new building is part of a £750,000 investment programme, and doubles Precision’s total production area, which now houses the company’s refrigeration, finishing, testing and storage facilities, to 40,000 sq. ft.
“Despite the recession, we’re working flat out to fulfil orders,” said Precision’s managing director Nick Williams, formerly of Williams Refrigeration. “We’re hiring more factory staff and expanding our sales force.”
Precision specialises in commercial catering refrigeration and focuses on the premium end of hospitality businesses and chefs in restaurants, hotels and bars.
As well as building market share in the UK, the company is enjoying success overseas. Following contract wins in France, Precision has teamed up with Marrel Refrigeration, a company supplying many of the country’s top restaurant and fast food chains including McDonalds, Eurest, Autogrill and Disneyland.
Meanwhile in a move that will increase its profile in northern Europe, Precision has appointed continental refrigeration professional, Bart W. van der Kruijs, to represent the company in Benelux.
Precision Refrigeration is run by directors including Andy Fysh, Nick Williams and Jeremy Hall, all ex-Williams Refrigeration.
