RAC Magazine August digital issue is online now

August’s RAC Magazine looks at calls from an environmental campaign group to bring forward bans set out within the F-Gas regulation to match the UK’s more ambitious decarbonisation aims

Recent face-to-face judging for next month’s RAC Cooling Industry awards showed that industry was growing more comfortable with the drive towards lower GWP refrigerant on the back of growing pressure to be more sustainable.

The August edition of RAC Magazine considers how the cooling sector is facing up to these pressures by looking at new approaches to technology, controls and data-led systems that are coming to market.

Key focuses this month include calls from the Environmental Investigation Agency (EIA) campaign group for the UK to go beyond the current requirements of EU F-Gas legislation and bring forward a 2022 ban on new refrigeration equipment using HFCs.

A range of European cooling bodies have also published a simple guidance document to help better identify and avoid illegal refrigerant.
