December’s RAC Magazine looks at the finalists for the $1m Global Cooling Prize, which includes new hybrid technologies and options for cutting edge non-refrigerant systems
The latest digital edition of RAC Magazine takes a detailed look at the broad range of approaches and technologies that have been selected to compete for the Global Cooling Prize. All technologies selected were deemed to meet key criteria of providing a climate impact that is at least five times lower than a baseline AC unit – defined as a 5.3kW split system with an EER of 3.5 that also uses R410A.
A special feature is also included on natural solutions that are being funded via a new EU research project to support smaller-scale retailers in transforming their cooling solutions.
