RAC Magazine May digital issue out now

This month’s issue looks at how the retail industry is facing up to mounting pressure to switch away from R404A before its use is outlawed in favour of alternatives such as mildly flammable gas

May’s RAC Magazine considers initial feedback from our latest Round Table discussion on the future of refrigerant use in the retail sector that has looked at a broad number of concerns such as industry willingness to train engineers over the use lower GWP gas such as the mildly flammable R32.

The event also tackled misconceptions in the industry that it may be worth waiting for an already uncertain Brexit process to be completed in the hope that EU F-Gas regulation will be circumvented or abandoned – something that industry bodies say there is no intention within the government for.

The latest issue also looks ahead to our F-Gas Question Time event taking place at the Crowne Plaza London Kensington on Thursday May 17 from 9am until 1pm. The free-to attend event will consider the practicalities of working with lower-GWP products ahead of the first refrigerant bans being introduced in just under two years’ time.

We will have more on both events and the challenges and opportunities ahead for cooling in our next issue.
