RAC webinar to consider 2020 R404A service and new equipment ban

Mark Hughes of Chemours will join Andrew Gaved to host a free webinar on February 7 that considers the implications of next year’s R404A service ban

RAC Magazine is hosting the latest in a series of free webinars with Chemours on February 7 that is focused on how industry can prepare for the upcoming service and new equipment ban for R404A and other higher GWP refrigerants.

Mark Hughes, the company’s business development manager, will be talking to RAC Magazine editor Andrew Gaved about the significance of the service bans that comes into effect next year. Mr Hughes will also answer any audience questions about facing up to the impacts from an end to using refrigerants with a GWP of above 2500.

Chemours is looking to provide more sustainable options for cooling by supporting a switch to HFO blend A1 and A2L refrigerants. The former is a non-flammable solution and suitable for use with existing equipment as well as new installations. The latter option has low flammability properties and can function as a very low GWP solution for use in new equipment.

More details on the webinar and how to sign up for free can be found here.
