Boss Nick Jamieson describes why sponsoring Retail Project of the Year is particularly important to the company
Contractor Ryan-Jayberg has signed up to sponsor the 2012 Cooling Industry Awards, backing the always hard-fought Retail Project of the Year category.
Managing director Nick Jamieson said: “Ryan-Jayberg sponsors the Cooling Awards as they represent a true reflection of our industry’s achievement throughout the year. It is rare to celebrate success in our field, but it is something we feel is important and for the greater good of our industry. This is why we have supported the awards since its inception.”
Mr Jamieson said he had particular reasons for sponsoring the Retail Project of the Year Award. “We work in the refrigeration retail sector ourselves and we realise the different constraints that the retailer has to work under in designing and forward planning their refrigeration solutions. The Award is for a project which has been delivered and not theoretical, which for us holds greater importance as we design not just plant and display cabinets, but complete system solutions.
“We realise the pressures and demands of delivering new energy efficient solutions, within tight timescales, in retail trading environments and to competitive budgets. Put simply, the award reflects our own principles.”
“We are conscious of the environmental impact our sector has on the earth and our way of life and the Cooling Awards rewards those who strive to reduce this impact. The awards are open to everyone to enter, giving a fair opportunity to the whole industry and are not selective.”
At the same time, Mr Jamieson will continue his involvement with the Fred Jamieson Award for Industry Achievement, a category created in honour of his late father. Nick and his mother Jackie will help to judge the category, which recognises an individual’s career contribution.
The Cooling Industry Awards, now in its ninth year, is widely recognised as the leading showcase of the industry’s technological advances and environmental achievements. The event, taking place this year on September 26 at the London Park Lane Hilton, features a full evening’s entertainment.
