Time to get your 2016 Cooling Industry Awards entries in!

The deadline is fast approaching to get your entries in for the industry’s most sought-after awards launches, with new categories to reflect changing priorities

The Cooling Awards has officially launched for 2016, providing another opportunity for firms to demonstrate their achievements, their innovation and their efforts in protecting the environment. Once again there are as many opportunities for the air conditioning specialists as there are for refrigeration ones.

The Awards continues its commitment to rigorous judging with the second year of Dragons Den style presentations. This process was warmly received last year, providing as it does an opportunity for entrants to deliver the strengths of their entry directly to the judges and to have a dynamic discussion with judges.

Cooling always looks to move with the times and to respond to feedback and so this year sees some key changes to categories. Prime amongst these is the introduction of the Distribution Initiative of the Year award, which will mark the often overlooked impact of the wholealers and equipment distirbutors in reducing carbon. At the same time, to reflect the increasing collaboration between the industry and its customers on new ideas, a new Retail Intiative of the Year award has been introduced. These will replace our customer-focused awards, putting the emphasis on partnership across the supply chain.

The other exciting change is the splitting of the Contractor of the Year category into two distinct sectors: Refrigeration and Air Conditioning. The thinking behind this is to encourage all those firms who are doing great work in installing low-GWP and energy efficient chillers, heat pumps and packaged AC systems, to get their achievements recognised in their own right.

The entry deadline of April 13 gives all would-be winners a generous ten week-window to get their entries together.

The Cooling Awards is delighted to announce that Climate Center is Headline Sponsor again for 2016. The wholesale giant is joined by launch sponsors Emerson Climate Technologies and Resource Data Management, with others expected to be announced very shortly.

Companies who want to experience the benefits of aligning themselves with the biggest and most sought-after Awards in the industry calendar, by sponsoring, can find out more here.

The Awards will be presented at a glittering ceremony at the Hilton on Park Lane in London on September 28th
