Toshiba Air Conditioning has introduced a new suite of business tools to help contractors design, quote for and secure orders for new projects.
The new tools are the centre-piece of Toshiba’s new online Business Lounge, which gives installers and customers access to technical and design information.
It includes an online AutoCAD section with a full range of standard icons and the new 3D format, plus comprehensive design and engineering support that can be rapidly searched to resolve queries.
There is also a SEER (Seasonal Energy Efficiency Ratio) calculator, refrigerant charge calculator and technical support for the requirements of leak detection under EN378.
The suite also includes a dedicated R22 replacement calculator. This takes users step-by-step through a proposed project to determine the costs and estimates potential savings as result of replacing aging, inefficient R22-based plant with high efficiency R410A equipment.
Completing the suite is an Air Handling Unit interface calculator, a VRF quick-calc and a fault code identification facility as well as DN Code setting function, valuable for engineers working in the field.
The Business Lounge gives full access to installation and servicing manuals for office reference or live use by contractors undertaking installation, commissioning or servicing procedures on site.
A spare parts facility enables installers to identify and order replacement components for Toshiba’s full range of air conditioning products, supported by a constantly updated reference section with Technical Bulletins and advice.
David Dunn, commercial director, says: “It enables installers to provide fast and accurate technical, design and cost information to clients on air conditioning projects.”
“The tools can be applied equally to small and large projects, and speeds up the whole process of responding to enquiries – giving customers timely, high quality information they can base decisions upon with confidence.”
