Vent-Axia launches heat pump training scheme

Vent-Axia has launched a Certification Scheme (MCS) accreditation programme to tackle the predicted shortfall in heat pump engineers, a move the company claims will turn the company into a ‘solutions supplier’ for the technology.

The scheme is claimed to provide a fast-track route to MCS accreditation and includes all the business procedures and documentation needed to pass the audit

It also includes tools to use in day-to-day work such as a sizing calculator for working out heat load; a payback calculator and an energy calculator which calculates the required kw/h rating under the RHI – Vent-Axia say the scheme can be completed in four weeks

Costing £1950 it includes assessment and certification fees, together with a cashback voucher given to accredited installers on the purchase of their first Vent-Axia pump

Ronnie George, Vent-Axia managing director, says: ““Our plan is to create a network of installers across the UK, with the company becoming a hub of knowledge for the heat pump sector.”
