Williams Advanced Engineering explains how it has helped Aerofoil Energy to develop its device to make a fridge that is ’more efficient aerodynamically’
Check out the VIDEO to see how Williams Engineering and Aerofoil Energy are tackling the ‘aerodynamics of display cabinets’
The development has seen a new retrofit aerofoil system that keeps more of the cool air inside the refrigerator cabinet, this innovative technology will result in significant energy savings.
Ian Turner, senior aerodynamicist at Williams said: “The problem of keeping cold air in an open fronted cabinet is largely an aerodynamic one so we are applying our F1 expertise to the problem.”
Sainsbury’s has been testing the product at a number of its stores, with corresponding benefits for their carbon footprint.
The Institue of Engineering and Technology has been highlighting the initiative and if anyone believes they can be involved in developing a solution, they should email firstname.lastname@example.org
