Wolseley opens ‘one-stop shop’ Pipe and Climate Center branch and fabrication facility

Purpose-built site in Basildon, Essex, boasts one of the largest footprints in the Wolseley UK estate

Pipe Center and Climate Center have opened up under one roof, offering customers a ‘one-stop-shop’ solution, as well as housing a specialist fabrication and modular engineering facility.

The 59,000 sq. ft. site, described as a ‘multi-million pound’ investment, opened last week with an event for customers and suppliers.

Pipe and Climate Center Managing Director, Andy Wighton, who cut the ribbon, said: “Our goal is to be the distributor of choice for the industry and we are committed to delivering the best possible service to our customers. The new facility in Basildon will be instrumental to us achieving this. Customers can now fulfil all of their product needs from one convenient location, as well as being able to access best practice services in fabrication and modular engineering. It is truly a ‘one-stop-shop’ solution.”

Tony Fitzjohn of Custom Mechanical also spoke about the event: “The facility was really impressive and had everything that you could possibly need. We work closely with Pipe and Climate Center, so it great to hear first-hand the company’s vision for the site and how it will help customers in the area. I’m proud to work with a company that has invested so heavily in its – and our - future.”

The Basildon facility is close to key transport links to service the South East region and has a team of 40 branch staff to offer technical advice and support.
