Ziehl-Abegg unveils small EC fans for refrigeration and heat pumps

EC055 also aimed at residential ventilation and electronic cooling

Motor and fan manufacturer Ziehl-Abegg says it is breaking into new market segments with a further motor size. This completion of its product range of energy-saving EC motors accompanies the introduction of new impellers. The combination of impeller and EC motor reduces noise and power consumption compared to the current market standard. The EC055 motor size is aimed at resdiential ventilation,air-to-water heat pumps, electronic cooling and refrigeration.

“Whereas in electronic cooling the focus is on power consumption, in residential applications we also have to consider noise generation”, adds Krämer. With this in mind, Ziehl-Abegg has designed a new centrifugal impeller for this application with a special backward curved blade design.

The official product presentation will take place at the ISH in Frankfurt from the 10 to 14 March 2015. This exhibition is the world’s leading convention for bathrooms, building, energy, air-conditioning technology and renewable energies.
